Biomagnification is the sequence that occurs to the food chain Food Web as a result of certain chemicals.  For example - If a farmer sprays pesticides on his/her crop the insects will eat the crop and become sick from the pesticide poisoning.  Then an animal, such as a frog, will eat several insects. If the frog eats enough insects that are poisoned then the frog will then become poisoned.  Then a snake could come along and eat the frogs that are infected and then the snake will also suffer from the pesticide poisoning.  Then an hawk could come along and eat the snake and in turn, the hawk will also suffer from the pesticide poisoning.  The accumulating effect is known as biomagnification.
