Most urinals use water to flush after each use. The No-flush urinals in the dining hall use no water. Human urine without added water is too acidic for most bacteria, plus there is a layer of a special fluid floating on top to seal in odor. This makes these urinals cleaner and fresher smelling than most flush urinals. These urinals allow IslandWood to reduce water consumption - saving up to 4500 gallons of water a year!
